Famous composer to give presentation in Fort Collins

Fort Collins will host a musical discussion and presentation by eminent composer Bruce Adolphe in February this year.

Adolphe will speak upon different musical ‘ideas’ throughout history and will improvise at the keyboard as he examines and explores musical creativity.

Bruce Adolphe is a composer who has created an impressive body of musical compositions that he was inspired to write by visual arts, sciences, and human rights. His science-based works include multiple compositions that he made based upon the writings of neuroscientist Antonio Damasio (such as Body Loops, Self Comes to Mind, and Musics of Memory) as well as works like Einstein’s Light. Human rights-inspired works of his include Reach Out, Raise Hope, Change Society and I Will Not Remain Silent.

Adolphe also lectures and directs family concerts at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and writes. Written works of his include The Mind’s Ear and a chapter that he contributed to the 2019 book Secrets Of Creativity: What Neuroscience, the Arts, and Our Minds Reveal.

The event will take place on February 13th, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The venue will be the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art, which is located at 1400 Remington St. Tickets will be $20 for one and $38 for two. Guests will likely receive a playbook in the form of a brochure printing. Masks and proof of vaccination will be required at this event.
