Lucinda Williams, often considered one of the most celebrated music artists of her generation, is scheduled to perform in Fort Collins soon. This concert will take place at the Washington’s music hall.
Williams’ work combines influences from the rock, folk, and country genres. Though her first albums received little attention, every album afterwards has been met with acclaim. For her efforts with these, she has received 17 Grammy nominations with three wins, including ones for Best Contemporary Folk Album and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. In addition, she has won two Americana awards out of 11 nominations.
She has also ranked on several music lists from top magazines. On VH1’s 100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll list, she ranked No. 97. A Rolling Stone list ranked her as the 79th greatest songwriter of all time. Time magazine also named Williams as “America’s best singer.”
Her latest album, Good Souls, Better Angels, centers around the current dark times but still mixes this with a sense of hope. It received a nomination for the 2021 Grammy Awards for the Best Americana Album.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, April 20 at Washington’s, which is at 132 Laporte Avenue. Tickets start at $35. The doors will open at 7:00 pm. Venues like Washington’s may be interested in brochure printing services to help promote events.
