Sloan Lake lights up with Denver craftspeople

Denver’s Sloan Lake will be the site for two days of a craft makers' marketplace next month.

Top artists and crafters will bring a bazaar of treasures to the area this summer. The event is produced by Gum Pop.

Known as a “shopping and sipping” party taking place in the streets featuring over 100 vendors, the craft festival attracts thousands of attendees each year. Along with the sellers, fashion trucks and craft beer tastings will add to the fun of the bazaar. Live DJs will keep the music spinning throughout the weekend, and cash bars will also be available.

The event is geared toward a younger crowd as vendors display trendy and modern products and goods. Exhibitors frequently work with local Print shops to order business card printing. By having an ample supply of cards, the vendors can create brand awareness that may result in future orders.

Admission is free and all ages are welcome, as are dogs. It will take place July 18 and 19 at Sloan Lake, located at 1565 N. Raleigh St. Sample tickets can be purchased to include tasting of craft beers and other alcohol beverages throughout the market. Ticket levels start at $17.50 for tasting.

Saturday’s hours will be 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on Sunday the event will be open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
