Denver residents with a passion for food, fitness, and friendship are in for a treat this October when a local craft brewery hosts a 5K fun run and cook-off.
The Five Alarm 5K & Chili Cook-Off will be coming to a Mile-High craft brewery soon, giving interested individuals an opportunity to stay active in the cooler autumn temperatures before indulging in different chili samples from 20 competitors. Organizers have mapped out a 5K course that will begin and end at the host brewery.
Participants are encouraged to move at a pace that feels fun and comfortable for them, with those 21 and over being greeted with a refreshing beverage upon crossing the finish line. Running events like this are an ideal setting for banner printing as a marketing tool, adding color to the host site and attracting attention from passersby while promoting the event’s sponsors.
Chili samples are included with the registration price. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Best Veggie Chili, Best Green Chili, and Best Red Chili. Category winners will receive Bierstadt four-packs, while the Best in Show winner will receive the Bierstadt Beer for a Year prize.
Participants will meet at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 25 at Bierstadt Lagerhaus on Blake Street in Denver. The event will proceed rain or shine. Registration for the 5K is $41.83 and chili-tasting tickets are $10.33 online.
