Chris Distefano grew up in the Borough of Queens in New York City, and attended St. Joseph’s College. He played on their basketball team, where he was the lead scorer, earning him an induction into the school’s Hall of Fame. He has a doctorate from New York Institute of Technology in physical therapy, and was practicing pediatric PT until 2013, when he switched to doing comedy full time.
His career started on MTV and MTV2 where he had the shows “Guy Code” and “Girl Code.” Comedy Central released Distefano’s first special, an hour-long standup show, “Size 38 Waist,” in 2019. Netflix premiered “Speshy Weshy,” his second special, in 2022. He is also the host of “Chrissy Chaos,” his podcast, and co-hosts another podcast, “Hey Babe!” with Sal Vulcano, and has appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
Distefano’s comedy draws from everyday life, discussing subjects like relationships and parenthood in an easy-going way that audiences throughout the world enjoy. He connects instantly with his audiences, and has sold out venues including the Theater at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall.
