Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been a force in music for decades. In 1956, Springsteen saw Elvis Presley on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” and that inspired him to begin a musical career. When he was 13, his mother bought him a guitar and he began playing at local venues, and joined several bands before setting out on his own.
Columbia Records signed the artist in 1972, and he released two albums the following year to modest success. However, his next effort, recorded with a changed line-up of musicians, was 1975’s breakthrough “Born to Run.” The revamped group changed its name to the E Street Band, and a legend was off and running.
His next four albums all performed well, especially “Born in the U.S.A.,” which he released in 1984. It sold more than 15 million copies and earned Springsteen his first Grammy. In his career, Springsteen has sold millions of albums, won 20 Grammys, and two Golden Globes.
He shows no Signs of slowing down. A recent review says:
