A free event is coming up in Denver soon that will bring people together to enjoy food, craft beers, artisan vendors, and local bands, all while celebrating community.
The 20th Sunnyside Music Festival is scheduled to take place in Chaffee Park, where attendees will find a wide range of options for beverages, vendors, sweets, and food. The unusual festival is organized by a group of neighbors who are all volunteers.
The heart of the festival is the music, which this year will be provided by Chella & the Charm, Chain Station, Banshee Tree, Dragondeer, and iZCALLi.
Chella & the Charm are based in Denver, where listeners appreciate their traditional approach to country and western music.
Chain Station is a four-piece bluegrass band, also Denver based, that has earned a reputation as for pleasing both traditional and modern bluegrass fans, with the latter known as “Newgrass” fans.
Banshee Tree is based in Boulder and plays both acoustic and electric instruments to blend early jazz, jam, and dance genres into their own unique sound.
Dragondeer is a four-piece Denver band that mixes rock, soul, retro funk, and psychedelic blues into their own special sound. Finally, Denver-based iZCALLi has been together for 12 years and has performed hundreds of times in the Denver area.
Events like this can be even more fun when organizers use flyer printing to create a list of the entertainers.
The Sunnyside Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, from 12:00 noon until 7:30 pm. The organizers ask guests not to bring food or drink to the park.
