The Denver Renaissance Festival is returning this year to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of this popular event.
Meandering down Denver streets that have been converted to a medieval appearance, attendees can watch artisans as they create Old World masterpieces. Smelling the aroma of turkey legs, fresh baked goods and famed “steak on a stake” is all part of the experience.
Local merrymakers in full costume along with dozens of revelers perform nonstop through the village and on the seven stages featured at the festival. The 16th century comes alive as the days are recreated with an authentic flair.
Renaissance kitchens will offer tasty temptations in addition to the turkey legs and steak. Guests can look for roasted corn on the cob, sausage on a stick, BBQ port, and delicious bread bowls filled with salads and soups. Visitors can expect to find Italian Ices, fruit cobbler, frozen yogurt and strawberry shortcake to round out the rustic dining experience.
