Fun convention planned in Denver

A huge upcoming event in Denver is sure to draw fans of all things pop culture.

FAN EXPO Denver is the place for fans of gaming, anime, horror, and sci-fi to gather to celebrate the projects they love. The convention, which is similar to the better-known Comic-Con in San Diego, brings celebrity guests, voiceover talent, cosplayers, vendors, and fans together to celebrate their shared interests. The event can attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.

Past celebrity guests include David Tennant, William Shatner, Nathan Fillion, and Jason Momoa, with stars from films and television shows including “Star Trek,” “The Walking Dead,” “Stranger Things,” and many others. This year’s guestlist includes Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd, all from the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy; Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO in “Star Wars,” and Matthew Lewis from the “Harry Potter” films.

Several voice actors will attend, as will noted cosplayers who will bring their incredible costuming talents to share with fans.

Guests will sign autographs and celebrities will participate in panels where they share news about upcoming projects. Sketch Duels will feature comic artists battling one another, “How To” workshops will teach people some of the arts associated with entertainment, and costumed characters will walk the floor. Naturally there will be a huge vendors’ room.

FAN EXPO Denver is scheduled for July 1 to 3, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Guidebooks are helpful at large events like this, and organizers can use brochure printing to create them.
