Art enthusiasts and collectors will want to mark the date on their Calendars for March, as an art museum in Denver has announced the grand opening of its latest exhibit.
The Spring Exhibitions Opening Celebration is coming to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, unveiling three different exhibitions of the works of local artists for attendees to enjoy. The party will pair the works of art with live music and cocktails to get the celebration started.
The three exhibitions will be Ana Maria Hernando: Seguir Cantando (Keep Singing), Bethany Collins: The Deluge, and Sammy Seung-min Lee: Becoming Motherland. Hernando, a native of Argentina, is based in Colorado and uses art to highlight the feminine and empathy to make that which is overlooked stand out. Lee, who is based in Denver, focuses on art made from bookbinding, installation, and sculpture.
Collins, who is from Montgomery, Alabama, works and lives in Chicago and is a multi-disciplinary artist. Much of her work examines the connection between language and race. Print shops are an invaluable resource for organizers when setting up exhibits, providing professional documents to share relevant information about artists and their works.
The exhibits will be hosted at the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art on Thursday, March 5th. The doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased online for $32.77 per guest.
