Some people run to get fit and some run to challenge themselves, but some in Denver are set to run for beer.
The Colorado Brewery Running Series is hosting an upcoming run. The organization encourages Coloradans to get healthy by organizing 5K runs using local breweries as the start and end point.
The runs are untimed and family-friendly, and participants can run, jog, or walk to the mid-point, where they turn around. Once back at the brewery, they can enjoy giveaways, food, live music, and a complimentary craft beer. Everyone is given their choice of either seasonal swag, or a collector’s glass. They also have a chance to win door prizes.
The upcoming run in Colorado Springs is the Hoppy Easter 5K, which will take place at Zuni Street Brewing, is a wave start, with starting windows at 10:00 am and 10:30 am. Participants must start during their specific window, and must not come to the check-in area earlier than 30 minutes before their start time. The course is open, meaning streets will not be closed to traffic. Participants are urged to use caution, and current COVID protocols will be observed.
The series’ mission is to have fun, encourage physical activity, and give back to the community. Since 2016’s inaugural run, the series has donated more than $75,000 to local non-profits.
The run is slated for April 16. Events like this can be even more fun if organizers use banner printing to create sturdy, weather-resistant decorations for the course.
