Denver follows trail of lights

The annual Trail of Lights will take place at Chatfield Farms in the Denver region. The event takes attendees through a winding path filled with holiday lights that illuminate the beautiful countryside.

The skies will be dark, the lights will glow, and dozens of people will enjoy a one-mile walking trail among boxelders, pine trees, and cottonwoods. They will see Green Farm, Deer Creek Discovery Children’s Play Area, Crossroads, and the 1880s Hildebrand Ranch. For those not wishing to walk a mile, there will be a shorter route available.

Banners are often used for directional purposes to guide people through outdoor events at night. The banner printing may include glowing or neon ink to show up in the dark.

Also, on the agenda for the event will be singing Christmas trees, music in the kids’ play area, and an antique and model tractors display. There will be two light tunnels. Hot beverages, kettle corn, and nuts will be available for purchase. A game of “I spy the GEICO Gecko” will provide an opportunity to have a picture taken with three geckos hidden throughout the trail.

Chatfield Farms is located at 8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Road in Littleton, a short drive from Denver. The Trail of Lights will begin November 26 and run through January 2. For more details, contact 720-865-3500.
