Denver awaits Greeley Stampede

Denver residents and surrounding communities are waiting in anticipation for the 21st Annual Greeley Stampede to return this summer.

The event dates back to the late 1800s and has grown to attract over 250,000 people from across the world.

The Greeley Stampede brings a full realm of family-friendly activities to the region. Renowned singers perform in concerts throughout the days. Presented by JBA, the carnival offers rides as well as a kiddie land area for the younger children. Midway games and arcades are found in the carnival area along, with food stands offering highly-anticipated carnival treats.

The traditional Greeley Stampede Independence Day parade will take place on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am, showcasing over 120 participating entries, including floats, equestrians, and bands. The parade will run along the historic 10th Avenue area starting at the University of Northern Colorado.

The Western Art Show features over 200 western sculptures and paintings through a wide range of exhibits. Guests will have the opportunity to meet artists. Proceeds from artwork sales will benefit scholarships for the Weld County High School. Business Cards are usually exchanged at art shows like this for the purpose of artist awareness and future sales.

This year’s Greeley Stampede will take place June 24 through July 4. Tickets may be purchased online or through the Stampede Ticket Office at 970-356-7787.
