Climbing competition takes Denver to new heights

A rock climbing competition is preparing to pit competitors against each other, and interested parties and enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.

The 2025 Heart and Soul Climbing Competition, organized by the Denver Bouldering Club, is accepting registered participants for the 12th annual running of the event. The Bouldering Club offers climbing spaces to help Denver residents discover a new passion while staying active throughout the year. The competition doubles as a fundraiser to raise money for cancer research and treatment options.

The competition is geared toward having fun and helping others, and several categories based on experience levels and comfort will be open for enrollment. It is open to all interested parties, no matter their skill levels. Spectators are also welcome to attend to learn more about the sport and support friends and family members. Banner printing is a colorful way to promote such events by welcoming attendees into the venue while displaying sponsor logos.

The money raised by participants will go to the University of Colorado Cancer Center via the Investigator-Initiator Trials Fund. Block 1 will check in and begin climbing at 8:00 AM, and finalists will be announced at 3:00 PM via Instagram.

The Denver Bouldering Club will host the competition on Saturday, February 22, with the doors opening at 7:00 AM. Registration is open online and costs $49 per participant.
