After 52 years in the business, The Eagles are on their “Long Goodbye Tour.” Deacon Frey, Vince Gill, Timothy B. Schmit, Joe Walsh, and Don Henley are on the road together again, one last time, and will perform for two nights in Denver.
The Eagles were established in 1971 in Los Angeles with Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey as founding members. Superstar Linda Ronstadt recruited them, and they all played on her third solo album, and some went on tour with her, before going it on their own. They signed with Asylum Records, David Geffen’s new label, and began pumping out hits.
Their first album, 1972’s “Eagles,” included two singles that made it to the Top 20 in both Canada and the United States – “Witchy Woman” and “Take It Easy.” In their career, they have released seven studio albums and every one of them has been certified Platinum. Their last four albums, “One of These Nights” (1975), “Hotel California” (1976), “The Long Run” (1979), and 2007’s “Long Run Out of Eden” all hit No. 1 on the charts. Songs from this band are staples on classic rock stations.
