San Rafael to launch annual festival

San Rafael will be holding the first run of a new festival in late May.

Ember Stomp is an event put together by The Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority and Fire Safe Marin. The festival is a part of the push to try and prevent another massive wildfire, as well as provide education on fire safety, all with some fun elements thrown in. Flyer printing is often used in promotion of festivals.

Games, activities, music, food, and more will be available in addition to all the educational aspects. There will be stages for child geared entertainment as well as the music on the main stage. A few demo spaces, such as a home and a garden, will be set up to display products by various companies, some of which are specifically made with fire safety in mind. Awards will be given to different partners of the event throughout the day. Food will be available through multiple food trucks on the premises. Vendors are going to be set up selling different items as well.

Event organizers will be present along with local firefighting agencies, all of which will be open to applications and questions, as well as hosting demonstrations.

There is no cost to attend, and people of all ages are allowed in. The festival will be located at the Marin Civic Center. It will run from 11:00am to 5:00pm on May 28th.
