Car show pays tribute to San Rafael resident

An annual car show will be returning to San Rafael this May, and similar to previous festivals, many residents are expected to attend. This event is being held to honor the legacy of Greg Borelli who passed away in 1997.

Mr. Borelli was a San Rafael resident, and an avid fan of the automotive industry. This event was originally organized in 1986 by Mr. Borelli, and a handful of his closest friends. Greg Borelli was known throughout the community, as he owned a pawn shop, and he was also president of the San Rafael Merchant's Association. Since his death in 1997, this festival has served as a means to preserve his memory.

Now known as May Madness, this event will be exhibiting numerous vehicles from throughout the greater San Rafael area. It should also be mentioned that while no registration is required, the festival is limited to classic cars.

Festivals that boast a rich local history will often encourage attendees to network with one another. This could involve partnering with business card printing services, exchanging contact information, and placing advertisements in nearby automotive repair shops.

May Madness will be returning to San Rafael on Saturday, May 9th. The exhibition is scheduled to begin at 12 PM, and it will last until 4:30 PM. All events are taking place on Fourth Street between Lincoln and D Street. There is no charge to attend.
