San Rafael to host uplifting author talk

The Civic Center in San Rafael will hold an Author Talk in March where people can hear live readings from multiple writers.

Those interested in hearing uplifting stories can attend a presentation on the anthology Love Notes from the Soul 2.0. The book is a collection of creative nonfiction essays that are focused on personal courage and recovery. There will be several contributing authors at the event who will read their submissions from the collection of stories, including Leonard Weingarten, Jen Coffey, and Lorenzo Jones. Musical entertainment for the presentation will be provided by the Soulbeatz drum circle, and there will also be refreshments served during the discussion.

Love Notes from the Soul 2.0 is a collaborative project that was created by Cynthia Gregory, an editor, life coach, and strategic consultant who is from Sonoma County. Gregory earned a degree in journalism from Gonzaga University and went to Mills College for an MFA in creative writing. She has also written several Books, such as What is Possible From Here and Journaling As Sacred Practice: An Act of Extreme Bravery.

The author talk and reading session will be held on Wednesday, March 4th from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Registration is not mandatory for the event, though people can still sign up in advance. Authors who participate in discussions similar to this can use business card printing to stay connected with those who attend the events.
