San Rafael to debut new version of event

San Rafael is bringing a new twist on a popular experience to its downtown space in early August.

Dancing Under The Lights is a reworked take on the Dining Under The Lights event. The goal with the change is to bring the community a fun experience below the Tivoli lights, with aspects that give people of many ages something they’ll love. This is organized by the Downtown BID of the town. The party is expected to take place annually, with this year being the beginning.

Music acts performing during the event include a band from the local area and Neon Velvet. The local talent will kick off the night.

Food and beverages will be available to buy from a mix of local food trucks, restaurants, and breweries.

There will also be a market as a part of the event. This will contain local artists/makers selling a variety of goods.

Kids can enjoy an area just for them. There will be crafting projects that they can enjoy, and they will be able to walk away with a neat piece they made themselves.

Attending the celebration is free for everyone. Flyer printing is a common choice in promotion of city events. The event is located between 4th Street and A to Lootens. The scheduled time frame is currently 5:00pm to 9:00pm on August 9th.
