The 33rd Annual Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland is less than a month away in San Rafael.
Scheduled for November 23, snow sledding begins at noon and continues until 4:30 pm. Night sledding begins at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A marketplace featuring many vendors presenting and selling their various products, arts, and crafts will run from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Exhibitors should provide their own battery-powered lighting for the booths. Space is still available and may be reserved by contacting the event management company - Steven Restivo Event Services.
The holiday parade will begin at 5:30 pm with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving after the parade. Other costumed characters will also arrive with the Clauses, offering great fun for families and children as they meet and greet each other. The lighting of the official Holiday Tree will take place in the center of town at the City Plaza.
The Parade of Lights was previously funded by the city but, due to the economic constraints, it is funded purely by donations this year. Donations are welcome and can be made through the event website.
