San Rafael makes plans for well-lit Wonderland
The 35th Annual Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland has been scheduled in Downtown San Rafael once again.
The event has many highlights and features including a Holiday Marketplace, arts, crafts, activities for kids, and live entertainment. The Bay Area’s largest Holiday Parade is the central focus for this much anticipated holiday celebration.
At the conclusion of the parade, Santa and Ms. Claus will arrive with the Mayor of San Rafael to light the official Holiday Tree in City Plaza. Other costumed characters will accompany Santa and all will meet and greet children after the tree lighting. Adults have the opportunity to browse through the shops and vendor booths for some holiday shopping.
The Downtown Merchants Association and Shop San Rafael present the annual event along with a range of sponsors, including Just Dreaming. Sponsorships are available with an application available online.
Exhibitor, vendor, and food booth applications are currently available. Local print companies frequently assist with producing materials needed by the display companies such a banner printing. The company name and logo can be printed on the heavy vinyl so passersby can see what is offered.
