San Rafael makers to show off crafts

San Rafael will be holding the Marin Arts & Crafts Show in early October.

The expo features makers and artists that use a wide variety of materials to make pieces in many different styles. Some of the items available will be exclusive to the event. The vendors include both independent and studio crafters/artists. Often, exhibitors at these types of shows will have Business Cards featuring their Logo Design at their booth. The materials used in many of the items are sustainable and/or natural, and some use traditional techniques.

Some of the items attendees will find are clothing, jewelry, paintings, pottery, wood sculptures, buttons, spices, room fresheners, Bags, soap, food and beverages, metalwork, and mosaics. For a list of particular shops, those interested can visit the event website. Some will also be hosting workshops, allowing guests to learn a new skill and take their creations home.

Tickets to the expo are free, and can also be found through the website. Each day runs on the same timeframe, allowing for easier planning for attendees and exhibitors alike. This is set to be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The venue is the Exhibit Ballrooms at the Embassy Suites and the dates for the event are October 8, 9, and 10. For parking and directions, guests can visit the website for either the expo or the venue.
