San Rafael group to perform unique show
A San Rafael organization will be taking to a local stage in early May for two dates of performances of a special program.
The Mayflower Chorus originated in 1977, with a small group of friends belting out holiday tunes at the Mayflower Pub. The first official big performance followed in 1980. The group has continually performed and made the arts accessible to the community in the four and a half decades since.
It’s About (Show) Time! is a concert full of song, fun, and dance. The goal is to give the audience a chance to enjoy themselves for an evening, as well as reminding them to enjoy their lives as much as possible. The choral director is David Manley. The accompanist will be Daniel Savio. The show’s director is going to be Cathy Sarkisian.
Tickets are sold via the website for the Marin Center. With the center’s fees included, general admission is $29. Children 12 and below have a price of $12, and seniors and teenagers will have tickets costing $23.
The venue for all three shows is San Rafael’s Marin Center Showcase Theatre. Flyer printing is a popular promotion technique for many locally run performances. On May 2nd, the single show will start at 8:00pm. On May 3rd, there will be a duo of performances. These will start off at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
