San Rafael goes the distance

Runners in San Rafael can choose to participate in a trio of races.

The Honeybadger Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K will take participants on a scenic trail run through China Camp State Park. Along the way, there will be fuel stations. Runners can also look for a silver shoe along the course. The person who finds it will win a $25 gift card to a Runner’s Mind.

Sweat Republic will lead a pre-race warmup. After the race, participants can stick around for snacks, drinks, beer, and massages.

Until October 3, registration costs $45 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $85 for the half marathon. From October 4 until October 10, the price goes up $5. Registration includes a t-shirt, a medal or a woodallion, and two beers.

Before the real race, there will be a 10K tune-up run on September 27 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am at the Miwok Meadows Picnic area.

The Honeybadger races will take place on October 11, beginning with the half marathon at 9:15 am, followed by the 10K at 9:30 am, and the 5K at 9:45 am.

The races will start and finish at Miwok Meadows in China Camp State Park, located on North San Pedro Road. Banner printing was probably used to make Signs to direct individuals to the start and finish lines.
