The City of San Rafael will once again be holding its annual Summer Market, with plenty on offer for citizens.
The San Rafael Summer Market will address numerous climate-friendly topics, providing hands-on educational opportunities for children and adults alike.
These limited-time events offer several activities, with the majority centered around the notions of green living and sustainable lifestyle approaches. For example, this year's market offers a conservation workshop intended to highlight the numerous species of birds found throughout Marin County.
Other attractions at the event include; live music performed by the David Outlaw Band; a collection of paintings produced by local San Rafael artist Tiffany Bozic; an open-air bar providing craft beers; and a farmer's market offering organic fruits and vegetables
Local farmers, downtown merchants, food purveyors, and non-profit community organizations are just some of the people being catered to at the event. Those who wish to attend will need to submit an application to the Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM). Note that all vendors must prove that they are fully licensed and insured.
The San Rafael Summer Market is being held on the second Friday of July and August (July 11th and August 8th) from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It will take place on 4th Street between B Street and Lootens Place. Some events may also be found within San Rafael City Plaza.
