San Rafael gives platform to artisans
An event with a goal of showcasing artists and craftspeople is returning to San Rafael in the second week of March.
The Marin Arts & Crafts Show is an expo which takes place annually. The show brings together a number of small businesses, makers, and artists for an opportunity to sell to customers, meet fellow craftspeople, and get inspiration for new projects.
Shoppers can find products falling into categories such as accessories, food, clothes, artwork, candles, origami, ceramics, perfume, soap, and wood crafts
Several participating businesses and makers will be hosting demonstrations or workshops for the guests. Some included subjects from past editions of the event are painting, jewelry making, and lino-cutting. Workshops require payment of a participation fee, with the cost depending on the particular class.
Attending the San Rafael event is free for everyone. Registration is available both online and at the entrance to the show. Many vendors participating in an expo like this will hire services for business card printing at some point prior, in order to have something easy to carry to hand out to potential business partners or customers. The venue is the Marin Center Exhibit Hall. On March 7th and 8th, the event runs between 10:00am and 6:00pm. On March 9th, the time will be 10:00am to 5:00pm. Plenty of free parking is available outside the venue.
