San Rafael will be getting ready for the holiday season with its traditional marketplace, elf hunt and boat parade.
Downtown San Rafael will soon begin its second annual Elf Hunt. At the event, “elves” will be hiding inside businesses located from H Street to Lincoln. Maps showing their hiding places may be picked up at Mike’s Bikes or online starting Saturday, November 26th. Once all the names of the elves have been found and recorded on the maps, elf hunters may return the maps to Mike Bike’s to be entered into a raffle for gift baskets.
San Rafael Holiday Marketplace and Winterwonderland will return for Shop Small Saturday the Saturday after Thanksgiving. If the event is anything like last year, there will be a Maker Marketplace, a window decorating contest, Toy Drive, all day entertainment and a Lighted Classic Car Cruise down 4th Street. Many families will be taking their annual Christmas pictures in the Human Snow Globe Photo Booth.
Pictures taken at photo booths like this may go to nearby Print shops for duplicates that may be inserted into family newsletters.
This year, the event will take place on Saturday, November 25th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, with the car cruise at 5:30pm.
San Rafael Canal Lighted Boat Parade will have boats decked out in Christmas lights leaving from the east end of the canal at the Marian Yacht Club and travelling down to the turning basin and back on December 16th, beginning at 6:00pm.Get a Free Quote for Print
