San Rafael event features unique story
A San Rafael show is set to begin in late December, bringing together classic holiday tunes and an exciting story.
The Winter Wonderettes is a production from the Bay Area Music Theatre. The story sees a quartet of ladies attending an annual festive bash from the local shop, Harper’s Hardware. Things go a bit haywire when it’s discovered that Santa has disappeared, but the group of friends pull together to ensure the party doesn’t end on a sour note. Robert Currier serves as the director, with the role of the musical director going to Paul Smith.
The soundtrack of the performance puts a 1960’s spin on popular tunes like “Run, Santa, Run,” “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”
The show will be available across several weeks. The dates include December 20th - 22nd, December 26th - 29th, and January 1st - 5th. Tickets are available through Purple Pass. Pricing ranges between $15 and $40, with a spot for extra donations open as well. Many shows use promotion techniques like poster printing.
