San Rafael event combines education with Halloween
An event in late October in San Rafael is going to give youngsters a chance to embrace the spooky season as they learn something along the way.
Spooktacular Halloween Workshop is an experience which uses LEGOⓇ bricks in a lesson about engineering and elements of this such as gear drives. Participating kids will get to design and construct a Halloween decor piece that incorporates motion.
The group will have access to “tens of thousands” of bricks to play with, which gives everyone plenty of opportunities to create something unique. Some inspiration could include Halloween symbols like jack-o’-lanterns, bats, ghosts, candy, vampires, scary castles, witches, or black cats. The activity is a chance to try out something new, while also giving kids a way to help their families out with the decorations for the holiday and the guests they’ll get from trick-or-treating.
The tickets for the Play Well Teknologies event will be available through ActiveKids, thanks to the Marinwood Parks & Recreation department. Admission will be $51. Cancellations must be done with a minimum of a week left before the activity, in writing/via email. A $10 fee will be required.
Flyer printing is a simple and frequently chosen promotion technique for experiences for children. Any kid between the ages of seven and twelve is welcome to participate in the event. The activity is being held at the Marinwood Community Center between 1:00pm and 4:00pm on October 26th.
