What's Happening in San Rafael, CA…

San Rafael enjoys private gardens

The Garden Conservancy has partnered this year with the Marin Garden Club and the Marin Art & Garden center to host the Marin Open Day. The theme for 2019 is ‘Glorious Gardens of San Rafael’.

This event features six gardens, most of which are private and not normally open to the public. Attendees are recommended to start out at the Falkirk Cultural Center, where the Open Day Information Hub is located. Attendees can also purchase discounted day passes there. Passes can also be purchased online before the event starts.

Day passes for the event are $35 per person and allow access to all six gardens. Otherwise, it is $10 per garden. Children 12 and under are free. The gardens are located in and around San Rafael, so driving will be necessary in order to visit multiple gardens.

Driving and parking may be limited, and attendees should be aware that they will be in residential areas, and should be cautious of pedestrians. Attendees should also be conscientious of the properties and take any trash with them, and stay on designated pathways.

Flyer printing companies may be used as this event does feature professionally-designed gardens. Informational flyers may be available to advertise for these companies.

This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, with gardens open for viewing from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
