Bob Marcucci served as the principal for Davidson Middle School, and has been an administrator and district teacher for more than 20 years. When speaking about his appointment, he stated that:
“I am very excited to continue my services to the students, staff and families of San Rafael City Schools in this new role. I have a deep respect for the departments and employees that provide services essential to the functioning of our schools.”
The search for the new assistant superintendent started after Doug Marquand announced his retirement. Marquand will leave the post at the end of the year and Marcucci will start immediately after if the board approves the appointment. Marcucci’s new annual salary will be $200,000. Business card printing can be used when starting a new administrative job.
Superintendent Jim Hogeboom stated that the was confident that Marcucci would get the job and help to speed up how the district handles its business operations. Marcucci will be aided by the fact he will be working closely with Marquand until the end of the year.
Marcucci had been the principal at Davidson Middle School for the last six years, and now Susan Akram will be the interim principal at Davidson until a replacement is found. The district will start looking for someone to fill the role permanently in spring.
