Performer to put on nostalgic show in San Rafael

A singer and musician will be bringing a special concert to San Rafael in mid-December.

Rick Schuler is both a John Denver tribute artist and a singer/songwriter in his own right. Told from a young age how much he looked like his famous doppelganger, Schuler quickly grew to love Denver for not just his music, but his passion and charitable nature as well. When Denver passed away in a plane crash, Schuler took it upon himself to be the carrier of his messages and legacy. Denver’s bandmates, as well as many others who knew him well, have praised and performed with Schuler.

John Denver Christmas is a holiday edition of Schuler’s Rocky Mountain High Experience. In this show, he performs Christmas tunes in the style Denver did, such as “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” “Aspenglow,” “Silent Night,” “Silver Bells,” “Joy to the World,” and “Let It Snow.”

Tickets can be bought through the Marin Center site and all spots available at the time of writing come in at a price of $59. Flyer printing will often be used in promotion of seasonal events like this one. Masks may be required by some locations within the Marin Center. The venue for the concert is the Showcase Theater. The show is set to kick off at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 18.
