An expo displaying materials and practices for a popular form of artwork will be taking place in mid-August.
The three-day San Rafael Bead & Design Show gives attendees the opportunity to shop from vendors and artisan crafters selling beads, gems, tools, candles, art prints, paintings, ceramics, wine, fabric, clothing, and jewelry. Suppliers for wholesale purchases will also be present.
Several businesses will be offering interactive workshop experiences, in which attendees will learn different crafting techniques. Some of these include pearl knotting, peyote bracelets, wire wrapped flower charm bracelets, soldering, and beaded starfish. These activities will be catered to people who are at various levels of skill when it comes to jewelry making, beading, and metalwork.
The venue is a large space that will be filled up with around 125 booths for guests to shop from. Anyone under the age of 18 can get into the event for free. Tickets for adults will cost $8 when purchased online, but will increase to $10 if bought at the door. A single ticket will be valid for each day. Flyer printing is often used to promote trade shows or expos like this.
Events at Embassy Suites San Rafael will run from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on August 19 and 20, and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on August 21.
