The Silver Fox Follies, now in its seventh year, will be hosting its latest production, ‘We Remember: The Music of Irving Berlin’ in September.
The show will feature 26 songs and include vignettes illustrating the music. In addition to Rancho Cucamonga’s Silver Fox cast members, around a half a dozen youths will perform as well.
As they have in the past, proceeds will support IncredAbles, a program to assist children with disabilities, as well as the senior transportation program. Over $30,000 has been raised for these programs over the seven years the Silver Fox Follies began staging performances.
Richard Morris, the Silver Fox Follies’ director, expressed the desire the group had to increase its donations to the two chosen programs. The production will be held at the 550-seat Lewis Family Playhouse, and organizers are hoping that they can sell out their one scheduled performance and add a second show.
Getting the word out for an amateur musical performance is key to selling tickets. Instead of depending on word of mouth, engaging a poster printing service and judiciously placing the Posters in high-traffic locations will produce maximum results.
