Rancho Cucamonga to throw dice for charity

Next month, Play for a Purpose Bunco Night will take place in Rancho Cucamonga to raise money for Growing Pains Compassion Outreach.

Growing Pains Compassion Outreach is a nonprofit organization founded by Susan Fudge to provide young pregnant teens with a supportive place to find resources, understanding, and love. The pilot program began in 2008 focusing on supporting young pregnant teenage girls as they finish high school, and has grown to include young parents, both mothers and fathers, and single moms in general. The organization provides parenting classes, educational support, and other tangible resources to help young parents succeed.

The Play for a Purpose event will be a themed ladies’ night of games of chance. The featured game will be bunco, which is played with six dice and twelve or more players split up into groups of four. Besides playing Bunco, attendees of the fundraiser will also enjoy finger foods and desserts. Prizes will also be awarded at the end of the night.

Local businesses may be interested in becoming sponsors of fundraising events like this and may decide to donate Promotional Products to the events in exchange for free advertising.

The bunco night event is scheduled for May 17 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. It will be held at 9090 19th Street. General admission is $20 per person.
