Rancho Cucamonga to hold tree-planting event

In honor of Arbor Day next month, the City of Rancho Cucamonga will hold the Arbor Day Tree Planting to give the community an opportunity to participate in efforts to grow and preserve their urban forest.

The Rancho Cucamonga Arbor Day event is part of the AMPlify the Urban Forest Grant presented to local communities by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). The grant is part of the California Urban Forests Council’s program called Invest from the Ground Up, which exists to help make California’s communities healthier and cleaner by investing in urban forestry.

Participants will meet up at a designated city park to plant 30 trees to contribute to the larger goal of planting 2,000 trees across the state. The event is open to all community members regardless of forestry experience. Organizers ask that attendees bring their own reusable water bottles as well as their own shovels and gloves. Large groups, such as school clubs, wishing to volunteer should email greencrew@sustainableclaremont.org to register.

Flyer printing is a popular advertising method for organizers of community events like this, and local Print shops can provide the services needed to Print in bulk.

Rancho Cucamonga’s Arbor Day Tree Planting is scheduled for March 12 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. It will take place at Red Hill Park, located at 7484 Vineyard Avenue.
