The city has launched an Open Budget Dashboard to improve the transparency of Rancho Cucamonga’s budget and financial situation and thereby stimulate public trust.
The Dashboard complements the static budget document that has been on the City’s website. The Open Budget Dashboard eliminates the hassle of sorting through pages of reports, replacing them with an interactive platform. This permits visitors to scrutinize the City’s operating budget made up of the Library Fund, City General Fund, and Fire District Operational Funds.
Cities choosing to use an Open Budget Dashboard can include this information in what they send to Print shops for the creation of promotional packs the cities will use to woo companies.
Residents will be able to see budgetary and real data as charts and tables and take budgetary and actual data and generate a comparison. They will also be able to access in detail the source of funds for expenditures and the allocation of revenues.
Not only will the Dashboard list the data for the present year’s adopted budget, but also for the two previous years as well, including budget amendments and actual expenditures and revenues. Information on the site will be updated periodically following the annual adoption of the Rancho Cucamonga budget and after the yearly financial audit.
It is possible that at a future date the Rancho Cucamonga’s non-operating budget, which contains the budget for the Capital Improvement Program, may be included. Get a Free Quote for Print
