Rancho Cucamonga charity event calls for volunteers

Next month, Project Boon will hold the Eat & Be Well: Meal Preparation Team event, and is inviting volunteers in Rancho Cucamonga to join them in their efforts to prepare Thanksgiving meals for the needy in the community.

Project Boon is a nonprofit organization that helps those in the community facing food scarcity, while also engaging people in the community to come together to help their fellow neighbors. The organization focuses on holiday-based events such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, prepping and distributing nourishing and tasty meals to the disadvantaged.

At the Eat & Be Well event, Project Boon members will be prepping over 1,200 Thanksgiving meals for families in the Inland Empire. Organizers invite members of the community to volunteer to help them open canned veggies and shred turkey meat. Attendees will need to bring their own can openers and arrive five minutes before their designated time slot.

Businesses may see charity events like this as a good opportunity to get involved in the community and may sponsor the event and participate in activities such as handing out Promotional Products and offering donation items.

The Thanksgiving meal prep event is scheduled for Sunday, November 19 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It will take place at The Hitch Burger Grill, which is located at 10789 Arrow Route.
