Rancho Cucamonga area workshop to experiment with epoxy
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware in Ontario near Rancho Cucamonga will hold the Wood & Epoxy Charcuterie Board workshop next month for anyone interested in learning to work with epoxy to create works of art.
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware is a nationwide hardware store with several locations based in Texas. The store offers a wide range of tools, hardware supplies, and woodworking-related products. The store also frequently holds workshops related to woodworking.
The workshop will guide students through how to make a “river table,” a popular wood table design made using epoxy resin to create colorful swirls in the wood that are reminiscent of a river. The small tables can be used as charcuterie boards, serving tables, or a displayed work of art. Students will learn to cut the river shape, seal the mold, and mix and pour their own epoxy. The instructor will then surface and finish the boards to a thickness of around three quarters of an inch.
Workshops such as this may include instructional brochures for students to utilize before coming to class. These materials can be printed using local print shops specializing in brochure printing and the like.
The workshop is slated for Sunday, February 18 from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm. It will be held at address 4320 Mills Circle, Suite G, Ontario. Tickets are $150.
