Kids hospital to benefit from motoring event

Children’s Hospital of Orange County will be the beneficiary for the Malicious Stangz Car Show entitled “Muscle Cars 4 Kids” to be held in Rancho Cucamonga at GTR High Performance in July. The car show is open to Ford vehicles, Muscle Cars and all makes of modified imports.

Car show enthusiasts use events like this to display their vehicles for fun, or in hopes of collecting a trophy or other recognition awards. Organizers often use printing services to obtain monogramed trophies showing the category of the award and whether the recipient placed first, second, or third in that group.

Activities will also take place during the car show including a Push Drag Contest and a Dyno run. Music will be played for attendees to enjoy and vendors will be on site selling food and beverages. Awards will be given in various categories and there are items to be won for those who purchase raffle tickets.

Children’s Hospital of Orange County has been in existence since 1964 and its mission is to help support the health and wellbeing of children. The hospital is affiliated with the University of California and is the recipient of several other fundraisers held locally throughout the year. Part of the money collected from each entry in the car show will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Orange County. The cost for entering a vehicle is $20.

The car show will be held on Sunday, July 14 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. GTR High Performance is located at 8678 Utica Avenue.
