Expansion through Southern California planned for Stater Bros.

Stater Bros. has opened a store recently in Hemet, and has also announced that it has just broken ground on new store locations in Menifee and here in Rancho Cucamonga.

The company has found its business model of low prices and personalized service effective, especially here in Rancho Cucamonga where its two current stores are thriving, the company claims.

According to the company, the key to its success has been to geographically limit its expansion. In this way, Stater Bros. has been able to utilize one centrally located distribution center and thereby save money on transportation of it products. The idea behind this is that it enables the grocery to keeps its prices low.

Stater Bros. can also attribute its success to expanding only into those areas where it is already known, and to developing a strong brand. Companies that put a lot of thought into their Logo Design, and then ensure that the logo is seen often, are best able to promote themselves through branding, perhaps helped by services like flyer and newsletter printing.

The first Stater Bros. in Rancho Cucamonga was opened in 1974. The company’s new Rancho Cucamonga store, to open in the fall on the northwest corner of Day Creek Road and Baseline Road, will be the city’s third location for the chain.
