AmeriCorps info session planned for Rancho Cucamonga

Next month, AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) will host a virtual information session concerning their disaster relief and related programs for any interested Rancho Cucamonga students or recent graduates.

AmeriCorps will hold this career event specifically for Chaffey College students and recent graduates. There is no specific diploma or degree required, and students can begin the application process beginning at age 17.

The info session will be held virtually, providing information on AmeriCorps programs that focus on areas such as disaster relief, community services, environmental projects, public relations, and urban and rural planning. The program benefits include gaining experience while exploring career options, as well as honing leadership and management skills.

Participants of the program will be eligible to earn college credits for continuing education or workforce development. Travel, lodging, healthcare, and childcare allowance will also be included in the program. Participants will earn a biweekly check, as well as $6,057 to go towards educational debt, or continuing education and career development expenses.

The virtual career event is scheduled for Sunday, February 7, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm PST. Those interested can visit the organizer’s website to learn more and register for free.

Even for virtual events such as this, organizers may utilize printing services specializing in flyer printing to spread awareness of event specifics.
