A Placerville festival will take the city back in time to its early days, and the whole community can enjoy a day filled with activities that offer something for everyone.
Historic Main Street will serve as the end point for the 69th annual Highway 50 Association’s wagon train, will be decorated for the occasion. The public will be able to give it a warm welcome, and the road will be closed off to vehicle traffic.
Along with arrival of the wagon train, there will be live entertainment, dancing and other activities. Many local businesses will be getting in on the fun by offering special sales and other promotions, and food and drinks will be available for purchase. The public can take in the festive atmosphere, and the festivities will run from early afternoon until late in the evening. The wagon train itself will proceed to its final stop at the parking lot of Regal Cinemas Placerville 8 Theater, and here it will disband. Residents can come out and learn more about this annual event and how they can be a part of it should they wish to do so.
