Food and rafting event comes to Placerville area

Placerville residents may be interested in a nearby event combining rafting and food in July.

The 2nd Annual Mixer on the River is due to take place in nearby Lotus, just a short drive from Placerville. Event organizers say it is all about food, rafting, and fun. Hosted by the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce, the day starts with a fun rafting trip for those ages 10 and up. Arrival begins at noon, with put-in occurring at 12:30 pm.

Event organizers promise a thrilling river trip that is sure to cool off those participating. Pre-registration is required, and the fee is $90. Those interested can register on the El Dorado County website. A hamburger dinner and no-host bar are included in the ticket price and will be served after the rafting trip. Those who are not rafting can still purchase the hamburger dinner.

After the rafting trip, a mixer begins at 5:30 pm and is open to those who did not raft as well. Sponsorship opportunities are available, which may be a time for businesses to take advantage of flyer printing and pass out information about their services.

The 2nd Annual Mixer on the River is set for July 9, 2026, at the Coloma Lotus Whitewater. The address is 6400 Highway 49, Lotus, CA. Pre-registration is required for the rafting event, and is open now.
