Union Mine High School has started offering a FFA (Future Farmers of America) program, and to help fund the construction of its new Hog Barn, it has planned a Placerville event in the spirit of a traditional barn raising.
Leadership Eldorado Class Eleven will be partnering some of the area’s top chefs, as well as local wineries, breweries and farmers, to bring a unique dining experience to the community. It will be held on the top floor of one of the community’s parking garages, and will see the space transformed into an elegant open air eatery.
The doors for the evening, which is for those age 21 and over, will open at 7:00 pm. Appetizers will be served, and a no-host bar service will be available for those who would like a drink while they mingle. The main meal itself will be offered family style, and there will be lots of time for the guests to socialize.
The organizers of the occasion noted that they hope to create an unforgettable dining experience, and it will be held atop the Main Street Parking Garage. Poster printing techniques can be utilized by a printer to create marketing materials to help ensure an event like this is a success.
June 2 has been chosen as the date for the ‘Farm to Pork’ fundraiser and tickets are on offer for $150 each. More information can be accessed through the event’s online listing.
