First Responders keep Placerville safe all year round, and a select group will be going above and beyond by showing off their cooking skills in support of New Morning Youth and Family Services.
This year’s ‘Battle of the Badges’ cook off will be held in the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, and the public is invited to come out and cheer them on. Along with the culinary competition, there will also be music and other entertainment, pours of locally crafted beers and wines, and a vendor area where the attendees can conduct a little browsing and buying.
More than 21 dishes will be on offer for taste testing, and the winners will receive bragging rights for being the best in the county. Firefighters, police, CHP, retired Marines and other first responders, and law enforcement professionals will all be taking part, and spaces may still be available to register a team.
The planners of this annual event are hoping that the community will once again be generous in its support of this friendly competition. Logo Design and other Print services for this type of occasion can be sourced from an area print company.
February 23 has been selected as the date for the 2nd annual Battle of the Badges. More information, as well as links to register a team, sign up to act as a sponsor, or purchase a spectator ticket can be found on its online listing.
