Holiday celebrations are all set to kick off in downtown Placerville.
They will start off with the Festival of Lights tomorrow, November 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Historic Main Street will be closed to traffic for the event. There will be carol singers, dancers, and musical entertainment. Santa, of course, will make an appearance.
The tree lighting will take place at the Courthouse at 6:00 pm. This will be followed by free stagecoach rides leaving from the Bell Tower. Downtown merchants will also be holding open houses for the public to showcase their Christmas decorations and gift ideas.
Visitors can also shop at the Merry Merchant Marketplace, which will be open until Christmas Eve.
The 38th annual Hangtown Christmas Parade is set to take place on December 4 beginning at 1:00 pm at Broadway Plaza. The theme of this year’s parade is ‘Old Fashioned Gold Country Christmas’.
In addition, visitors can drop off donations for Toys for Tots at the Bell Tower on December 10 and 11, plan a visit with Santa, and take part in late-night shopping opportunities.
To advertise events like these, Placerville Stationery printers often will be asked to provide Brochures or Flyers to be distributed in the community.
