A German cultural celebration is on the horizon in Placerville, and area residents are invited to put on their lederhosen and grab a stein to add to the atmosphere.
The Placerville Oktoberfest, which is being held in conjunction with the El Dorado County Harvest Festival, will kick off soon, bringing area residents together to celebrate. This year’s celebration is being hosted by the Placerville Merchants on Main, a local group of small business leaders.
Attendees will have a welcoming setting to celebrate the best of autumn with friends and family. The gathering will blend a Bavarian bash with El Dorado County culture, with organizers bringing local vendors and food and beverage trucks together. A hefty volume of beer will be included, and attendees should drink responsibly for a safe experience.
Organizers have commitments from Jack Russell Brewing, Geartooth Ailworks, and Burning Barrel Brewing Company. Participating breweries can use Business Cards to connect with consumers and build brand awareness at such events. The gathering will feature live music from Isle of Black and White and Echo Summit. This year’s contests will include Dachshund races, beer stein holding, a pie-eating contest, and the best-dressed award.
The Oktoberfest celebration is set to kick off on Saturday, September 20th, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. It will be held on Main Street in Placerville. Admission is free to all interested parties.
