Placerville history tour sheds light on Gold Rush

A tour series is set to kick off this summer in Placerville, offering visitors and area residents the opportunity to learn more about the town’s origins and history.

The Gold Rush History Tour Series, organized by Moonlight Ghost Tours, will open registration in the coming weeks to allow interested parties the opportunity to walk the town, ask questions, and learn about Placerville’s place in California history. The tour will take attendees through the town’s history and provide interactive displays to enhance the experience.

The tour will be a family-friendly series, and children are welcome to join. The tour guides will take groups to explore the town’s famous landmarks, learn about the area’s legends, and discover more about the individuals who lived in the town during the Gold Rush era. Brochure printing is an excellent way to advertise tours like this to visitors and residents in the town.

The 90-minute walking tour will provide a complimentary tea or coffee and cover a ¼-mile route that ends at the Placerville Hardware store. Comfortable walking shoes and clothing are recommended. Attendees are also welcome to bring a bottle of water for hydration.

The tour will meet at the Pachamama Cafe in downtown Placerville, with June tours starting on Sunday, the 1st. Tours will run from noon until 4:00 PM, and tickets are $30 per adult.
