Luncheon will showcase area businesses

The Business Awards Luncheon is taking place next month in Placerville. It is a presentation of the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce.

This is one of the most important networking events of the business year for both Chamber members and non-members.

In addition to the awards, guests will be treated to a State of the County address by Chamber representatives, which will give them an idea of what to expect in the coming year due to what happened last year in business. There will also be an announcement of the winners of mini-grants, which are given to various local businesses. These grants can help with purchasing equipment, advertising, and employee development.

There are four different awards to be given out: Small Business, Startup Business, Home-Based Business and the Community Services Business of the Year.

Many of those who are planning to attend this important business event will likely be contacting their favorite printing company to place a new business card printing order. They will want to be sure they will have enough on hand to exchange and that their contact information is current.

The Business Awards Luncheon will be held at the Cold Springs Golf and Country Club on March 10. Tickets are $30 for El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce members and $50 for nonmembers. Call 530-621-5885 for the most up-to-date information.
